Subject: interesting, but two things... | |||||
| firstly, the only point about gender in this study you have used to back up your point about gender is point 3, which leads me to my second point... Secondly, the reason women are initally more empathic than men is biological - men and women have different ratio's of grey and white matter in thier brains, women's brains have more white matter, and mens more grey (or is it vice versa?). Anyhoo, the point is, these two configurations mean that men are naturally more attuned to working with spatial configurations etc, and women are naturally more attuned to and interested in empathy and emotional intelligence. This means that whilst women may be predisposed to the factors you mention, as previously discussed, they may not necesarily be better at it, they just are configured to respond in a certain way. doesn't mean us blokey blokes can't give it a try, bless our cotton socks  |
