| It had been several days since his latest departure. Zaos already knew the dangers of his frequent travels, but also knew the dangers of remaining in one place for too long. His enemies numbered the thousands, millions if you included the subordinates of those thousands, and he knew they would try to find a way to kill him for all he had done in the past. But lately, a new danger had become present... And though he was loathe to admit it so, this new danger came in the form of his daughter, Twili, who was slowly being possessed by the evil energies of the book she had found. It hurt him to find out, and it hurt him even more so that her personal reasons for using the book were being twisted by the book itself... Zaos ran as he dodged laser fire coming from one of the large, mechanical behemoths that he affectionately called T-Tanks, taking cover behind a large, ruined building and staying there for a moment, though his mind was on other issues away from the moment. Panting as he recollected himself, he took but a moment to take out the pendant that he always wore to remind him of his mother and sister. The pendant itself was of a symbolic make, made of dark, violet crystal in the shape of a cross surrounded in an ovular shape, the top and bottom of the cross sticking out of the oval slightly. The center of the cross glowed slightly with a dark, violet light that was, for the moment, dim. Zaos sighed and held the pendant close to his heart, taking but a moment to speak to himself. "This pendant... It is the final key that the accursed book holding my daughter enthralled requires to do it's evil desires... But no matter how hard they try, they shall not have it, not so long as I still live... They shall not have this Pendant of Space..." And with this finishing statement, Zaos let the pendant hang from his neck again as he ran from his crumbling shelter and back into the apocalyptic warzone... And so he continues his battles... in the War against the Machines. Against Skynet. |
