Subject: Gathering Allies
With her decision made, Keeva wasted no time in readying her assault force. She sent word by her trusted emissaries to her allies. Fintan went to Rogric, Edward to Borine, Robert to the Westland capital, and Minarebe to the Dragon Kingdom. Keeva and her main force set out for Eleic, a small port city in Hydroia.

The doors to the council chamber opened. Escorted by four men, Fintan was led inside. The Council of Rogric looked down at him. Fintan could not help but feel small, he was surrounded by at least a dozen very largely built men. Every man in Rogric had a duty to serve his country, meaning every one of them was trained with weapons. Most of them looked as if they could pick Fintan up with one hand and throw him through the stone walls. It was Fintan's knowledge that such a feat was humanly impossible. He would break his neck and crumple to the floor rather than go through the wall.

"Fintan de Marin...why...have you come...to Rogric...?" The high king of Rogric asked. His speech was slow. Impaired by his heavy Rogrician accent.

"Her Highness, Keeva le Gurie." He was slightly cut off by snickers from some of the large warriors. Women had no place in the ruling of Rogric, in fact women had no place at all in Rogrician structure. They believed this to be only natural. Never the less, Fintan ignored it and continued. "Asks that the countries who have declared their swords to the Arelian Royalists make haste to Hydroya. She means now to march on the Commonwealth." Many of the men scoffed. Fintan awaited their reply with a sense of both dread and annoyance. It was all he could do by the way many of them looked not to remind them they promised on their ancestor's stones to aid.

"Our Ricitmen shall be ready by morning. We will keep our promise." The high king announced, much to the disapproval of many of his men.

Minarebe pounded on the gates of the castle in the Dragon Kingdom. When no quick answer came, he drew his axe and pounded harder on it with the flat of the weapon. At last a guard opened the gates.
"May I help you?"

"I am Minarebe of D'Hara, I come as an emissary of Her Highness, Princess Keeva le Gurie. I wish to speak with Queen Liani."

"...Come in.." She said hesitantly, not trusting the D'Haran. Minarebe walked in behind her as another group of guards shut the gate. "She is in her gardens, this way." The guard stated, walking down the small path between a castle tower and the main wall. Minarebe soon smelled the sweet sent of blooming spring flowers. "Wait here." The guard stopped him just before entering the garden. She disappeared in to the explosion of colors and scents for only a few moments. When she returned, she held her arm out towards the path that led to Liani. "Her Majesty will see you."

Minarebe bowed his head slightly to the guard and walked down the path. He found Liani sitting amongst roses, a small pink dragon on her lap. She was slowly running her hand down it's back, petting it. Minarebe placed his axe on the ground and walked over slowly. He made a deep bow a yard or so away. "You're Majesty...Princess Keeva sends me with her words."

"Then tell me my dear Minarebe...what does Her Highness send you with?"

"She marches on the Commonwealth, and seeks her allies to join her."

"My dragons shall join. They shall take you to where you must meet the princess. I suggest you prepare for the trip."

Edward stopped his horse in mid stride. He was surrounded by his own people, each with a bow risen. "I am Edward Oakleaf. I am an emissary of Princess Keeva. I wish to speak with ..."

"We know why you are here, Sir Edward. We are ready to stand by the Princess." Spoke the captain of the patrol as they all lowered their bows.

Robert's visit was the most well received...by the king at least. The King of Westland welcomed him warmly. They met in a large hall with the leaders of the Westland clans. "Welcome, Sir Robert. I was pleased to hear you wished an audience with myself and the clans of my lands. What may we do for you, good knight?"

Robert bowed. "Her Highness, Princess Keeva, has readied her forces for battle. She wishes to know if the alliance shall be held, and the Westlands come to her aid."

"Why should we help the Arelians? What have they done for us?" Shouted a female clan leader. Robert turned his head, marking her face.

"I stand with Lady Lidcine...why should we help those arrogant birds?" Agreed another female from across the room. Robert's head snapped to the owner of the voice. This woman, he knew. One Fintan had often mentioned. When he saw her fangs, noting her as a vampire the highlander scowled. If she showed up, there was a chance Fintan may 'accidentally' miss his target and hit her.

"It is the two of you who are arrogant, Lady Helena. We promised them our aid, we should make haste! The Clan MirFeroin will fight, as we promised! I shall ready my men!" A grizzled warrior announced, swiftly making his way out of the chambers.

The high king silenced the arguments that had erupted shortly after the MirFeroin leader left. "The Westlands pledged her hand to Princess Keeva, she will have our aid. Sir Robert, make haste to your mistress, tell her our ships shall arrive near the shores of her fair country in four days time, three if we can manage it!"

Robert bowed his head again, and made his way towards the exit of the chamber. He hardly reached it when he heard Helena's voice again. "Give Fintan my regards, Highlander." He paused only a moment, then opened the door and stepped out, letting the girth of the door shut itself.
