| But I think you may not see mine. When I meet someone, I neither disreputable, nor respect them. I'm more of a neutral party so to speak. I more or less judge what I think of others based on how they act. If they come off as, and I'm not naming anyone here, polite or consider it to other people/players, I start to show them respect. On the other hand however if they come off as self-absorbed or completely witchy to put it nicely, my respect for them drops dramatically. My manners towards others reflect how much I respect them, and I assume the same for them. This was a personal example to show what I meant when I said "respect must be earned". I agree with you on manners....but a lot of times that just needs to be thrown out the window to say what needs to be said, otherwise you will have to sugarcoat it and the wrong message may be taken, or not taken literally enough in some cases. |
