| You're right about some people needing to be the best. Unfortunately only 1 player can be the best by definition. Everyone has a chance to become the best, although it is much quicker if you invest money and does make things a bit easier. For the players who want to become the best, they must know work, time and patience come along with striving for the top. Anyone who quits right away because the challenge is too great, was not destined to become the best anyway. Most are ok with being one of the best. In which case there are many strong clans that can help you be part of a strong team. Each month your clan has a chance to be the best for that month. I know there are many strong players who have not spent and worked very hard to build their account into very strong players. It is also important to define what you consider the best. Strongest, most kills, best outpost, most knowledgeable, best merchant, best jouster, best liked, best leader or mentor.... The list goes on. There are many ways to make a name for yourself. If everyone has to pay you lose everyone who cannot afford or does not have capabilities to play. The game would not be as enriching as it is now if we were not able to enjoy the great company of the many fine non-players throughout this game. And i think the tougher it is to win something, the more competitive it is. Should we lower the bar of expectation to make it easier to win or raise the bar and truly challenge those who wish to become the best. |
