Do most people who create multiple characters, do so because a). their first attempt at a character is botched b). they use them as a feeders. If it is because they botch them, then a system to allow deleting and restarting would make sense. I'm not convinced that a trial period would allow anyone to really explore any one character type, and you certainly could not test the skills of each class. I would suggest that perhaps you do not pick a class until you reach level 10 anyway, for 2 reasons. 1) character development is the same for every class until you reach the skill buying stage anyway. 2) it gives you the opportunity to explore the game and research different classes before committing to one. Why not have every new player begin with the class 'Apprentice'. then once they are experienced enough to enter the Dark Forest and purchase skills, they should choose a final character class. |
