| if you attack someone who's a higher level than you, and less if you attack someone who's a lower level than you. In the Dark Forest, the creatures tend to be higher level than you as you level up, so you get a lot more exp from them than you do in general from venning unless your constantly hitting 10-20 levels above yourself. |
