Subject: Bittersweet tidings | |||||
| It is with profound sadness that I hear this news. Shrooms was the best of us, and I will miss her daily. My skype will be empty somehow, and my chatzy will have the echoes of her words. Our world will be poorer for her absence. And yet, it is vastly richer for having known her. We are kinder, more loyal, more open, more generous because of her touch. She gave unstintingly to her friends, helped whom she could, and bore through her pain with humor and love. In selfishness I would have held her here forever, but her peaceful passing takes her from a life that had become wrapped in struggle and pain to a place of peace and rest. It was a rare gift to have that last day of fond goodbyes, to make sure nothing was left unsaid. So I will say one last time, Shrooms - we loved you, we love you now, and we will hold dear the time you gave us and keep your memory part of our life here. You will never be forgotten. |
