I'd say change the spot, as far as I know the fish percentages don't change according to your level, you just have more casts and hence more chance to catch the rare ones.

As for sharks. Yes, you can still find them. But at the spots I found them, the general outcome is poorer. I prefer to have 89 Perch, than 10 Perchs and 1 shark.
