| as long as some of the previous concerns about strain on the server, and being able to turn it off are worked out, it could be interesting.. Would you have it so that the host was interacting with users or the host does their own thing? If it was on an external site, it might even be possible for users to request or vote on songs. While there does seem to be a reasonable amount of shared music taste, there does need to be effort to accomdate a range of tastes, and having an easily found schedule. You could potentially also have game update segments or interviews I guess.. A concern is the potential for unneeded over-expression of freedom of opinion regarding song choice, as obviously there won't be much that will keep everyone happy. That probably needs to be explored more.. although the if you don't like it, turn it off idea can apply.. Is the level of support worth the effort of getting it running smoothly and keeping it going, or is it a 'till the novelty wears off and no one can be bothered doing it' thing? Having said that, it has the potential to add another dimension to the gaming experience, and possibly more interaction.. It is probably also quite unique, which could be a selling point, particularly if it contributes to an enjoyable gaming experience, where users want to keep coming back. I think its definitely worth considering! *giggles* whats next? Dark Warrior top 40, compilation venning CD and tribute band???  |
