Subject: Weapons for mages

at the mo if a mage uses a wisdom based skill the weapon they use has no effect on the amount of damage done, why?
It means that its pointless upgrading the wand at the blacksmith.

Any chance of changing it so that the weapon and effect impoves like swords etc..
