| The SH is totally profitable. You take the plats you got in the DF and you get 6000 gold out apiece (as opposed to much lower offers in the Platinum Shop and Great Exchange). It just isn't as profitable as the market, and cannot ever be as long as it functions the way it does. This is the result of poor planning by whoever created it- it was doomed to obsolescence. It's not a total waste, though; if its mode of operation changed a bit, it would be a widely-used feature. |
