Subject: Beginnings: Blackpool
The grimy town was one of scant interested, populated by simple people, living on narrow streets along an unattractive coast. Blackpool was a fishing village and alternate trade route in the province of Altamine, a few days ride south of the capital. It was supported by Fairweather Vast, the sea at it's borders which provided the denizens with copious amounts of fish. It was a town which preferred to keep to itself, and for good reason. Along with it's reputation for boredom, the occasional story of strange happens would waft along the grapevine - stories which kept the average traveler at bay.

However, once a year by the farmer's lunar calender the town cast off it's sleepy exterior to delight in a night of revelry and questionable behavior. It was the night of Keeper's Cast, a celebration in honor of the bounties provided by Fairweather Vast. Spirits flowed, people danced, and in the relative privacy of dark alleyways all manner of sinful deeds were done.

Scene: Town Square
The town square sits centrally amongst the spindly roads of Blackpool. A stone fountain bubbles clear water, it's soothing gurgle nearly lost amidst the merrymaking. Shoots of moonlight trickle through the leaves of an ancient willow whose emerald head extends above the relatively low-lying buildings of the city.

Here the celebration is at it's peak. People jostle for spots among the vendors, or push in to listen to the village Storyteller. A small building set at the Southeastern corner appears to be quite the attraction, with people coming in and out at regular intervals. The sign above reads Keeper's Bounty, and sports the image of a mermaid.

Interestingly, a small wooden board also seems to have attracted a fair number of admirers. Its covered in missing and wanted posters.

People wander hither and thither in hopes of making the most of the night's festivities.
