| Due to the Captain of the Wolfguards wife's attention to Elvīs, the Capt. placed Elvīs on many night shifts alone, in the more dangerous areas of the Docks. Obviously the idea was have Elvīs be killed or at least severely injured. But Elvīs just stuck to the shadows, watching the general illegal coming and goings of rival gang / guild factions. In fact... once you settled in to a dry spot, and got used to some of the sporadic acts of violence, things basically ran like clockwork. The Theives Guild would steal goods from the Docks headed for the Merchant sector, the Assassin's Guild would ignore the Theives Guild unless the Theives "lifted" a crate of their property from the Wharf. This would happen once every month or so..and then a spate of killings would happen. So one Guild will retaliate to the other Guild, things would keep escalating until the Revenue from the Dock would drop due to low productivity... And then the City Guard would step in... Nobody wanted that.. Unless you were working at the time when the Guards entered the Docks...everyone was either killed on the spot, or dragged to the Dungeons and never seen again. Then things would settle down again..for another month or two...then merchandise would start to go missing from the Docks again. |
