| Arianna watched silently as Tom healed the dead fish. Her heart was pounding in her chest. What if I can't do this? Tom held his hand over the river again and another fish flopped onto the banks. Her heart pounded harder, it was trying to break out of her chest. When the fish was dead she took a deep breath and tried to relax. Then Arianna held out her hand over the fish. A strange sensation coursed through her arm and out to her hand. This was nothing like the sensation she had felt when she healed Ry's burn. Instead it was a cold wave, almost numbing. Suddenly the fish flopped back to life and jumped back into the river. |
