Jack sighed heavily. He knew that Alchemy was merely doing her job, but it still mad him boiling mad that she was forced to a servant's work. He offered his arm to Arianna.

"Cam, please try not to blow anything up." Jack asked.

"Can't promise anything, Jack, but I won't destroy the tavern." Alchemy teased, smiling widely.

Jack lead Arianna to her room. They were about to turn down the corridor leading to Arianna's room when they were blasted backward. A dark and hellish looking creature stood before them, debris falling on it where it had crashed through the wall. Jack shielded Arianna as the creature threw an energy ball at them.

"Don't worry, Arianna. I won't let it hurt you." Jack promised.

Suddenly an energy ball from behind them cam whizzing by and hit the creature. It yelled in pain. The pair turned around to see Alchemy holding her staff. She raced in front of them. She put up a shield to block the creature. She turned and looked at Jack.

"What are you doing, Jack?! Get her out of here!!!" Alchemy yelled.

"But you can't take on that creature alone!!" Jack yelled back.

Alchemy and Jack looked at each other for a moment. Alchemy had that look in her eye. She was going to do something.

"Aste Zezurei!" Alchemy casted.

"NO!!!" Jack screamed.

As Arianna and Jack began to transport away from the battle, one of the creature's attacks hit Alchemy hard. She fell to the floor, her body lifeless. The shield went down and the creature loomed over her still body. Then all faded to darkness. The pair reappeared in a moonlit meadow next to a small stream.

"Damn it!!" Jack yelled, while falling to his knees and pounding the earth, "Why did you have to be so stubborn, Alchemy?"

For the first time in over 15 years, Jack cried. The tears flowed down his face, blurring his vision. Jack let out a scream of pure anguish and sadness. He had just lost one of his closest friends. He loved her like she was his own sister and Alchemy was gone.

"Stupid. Stupid. Why did she have to die? Why her?" Jack whispered, his tears falling to the ground.
