Abilities Explained:
Clairvoyance - The ability to know the future based on feelings and intuition. So, this ability does not always work. Only certain things are revealed to her. She does not directly know the future. Instead, she may have a dream that hints at something to come. She gets "feelings" that something is about to happen, but she never knows exactly what. This is also connected to the ability to "read" people and their auras, which Arianna is very good at.

Healing - Because she is not very strong and has not studied much as of yet, her ability to heal is limited to minor injuries. However, when Arianna cares for someone, she is able to heal them far beyond her ordinary abilities.

Emotional Mage - Arianna has the ability to control fire and ice. However, she doesn't actually have control of it, her emotions do.

Personality:
Temperament - Shy and timid
Interests - The Art of Magic
Aversions - People who have no mercy.
Ideology - "In order to move forward, you must leave the past behind."

Possessions:
Her only possessions are a locket engraved with a family crest, and a dagger, engraved with another family crest, she stole from her father before running away. The dagger was meant to be passed down to the eldest son, but her parents only had a daughter. The locket was found in a trunk in the cellar. When Arianna decided to run away from home she thought it might be worth selling along the way. She wondered why the crest didn't match the crest on the dagger.

Background:
Arianna's was raised by a family who rejected her natural gifts for healing and seeing. In an attempt to hide her talents from townspeople, they tried to raise her as an archer. Arianna, however, was uninterested and wanted to pursue her natural gifts. She never realized that she also had the ability to control fire and ice. Although there were certain unexplained events in her past, she never made the connection.

As Arianna grew older the townspeople began to see that Arianna was different from other girls and they began calling her a witch. The townspeople threatened her family with death by fire. Arianna had to think fast. One night she packed a small bag containing only the dagger she stole from her father, the locket she took from the cellar, and a few days worth of food. She left without so much as a note. It was in her journey that her life would become clear to her.

Arianna traveled through the woods to the the next town. In the tavern Arianna met a pirate named Raider who took her to meet his captain. She joined the pirates on their ship for a short time and felt that she was home. at least until she found out her life had all been a lie.

While she was at a port city with the pirates, she quite literally bumped into a man who claimed to know she was his daughter. At first she didn't believe him, but then she noticed a locket he wore around his neck. Arianna was speechless as she reached up to touch the locket. In that moment, Arianna wondered what her life would have been like if she had never been separated from her true family. Arianna listened in awe as this man she had never met revealed her own life to her. She had no idea that her mother had died in childbirth, she had always believed the people who raised her were her parents. Come to find out, they were her grandparents. They had never even told her that they had any other children. It was as if they had erased Gabriella, Arianna's mother, from their lives. She wondered how they could completely forget they had once had a daughter, her mother.

Before she could take a breath the man standing before her was asking her to come with him to meet his father before he passed away. Her father wanted her to help him rule his kingdom. Arianna was not used to the thought of being royalty, she was just a runaway girl hiding on a pirate ship. How could she leave the pirates though? They had helped her so much and been so kind to her. Together the two of them returned to the pirate ship and spoke with the pirates about Arianna leaving.

The captain told Arianna's father that she was free to leave as she pleased, but that her departure would leave an unfulfillable void. He pulled her aside and asked if this was what she really wanted. When Arianna gave him a determined "yes" he told her, "You have brought life back to my ship and my crew. We will sorely miss you, but if you must go please know that you will always have a home here."

With those final words, Arianna left the pirates and followed her father to Stonecastle Keep, where her grandfather was on his deathbed.

Arianna was still overwhelmed with mixed emotions when they approached her grandfather. He was so small and fragile looking. He beckoned for her to move closer and whispered in a raspy voice, "My Dear, you look just as you mother did... last I set eyes on her." Then he turned to her father and said, "It is up to you, son, to rule this kingdom." He reached for his son's hand and with his last breath said, "Take care of this kingdom, as I have. Keep our family name alive."

Arianna felt tears rolling down her cheeks. She was crying for a man she had just met. She cried for the memories she would never have of her grandfather, the years she had missed with her true father, and the mother she would never know.
