| "Who said anything about being human?" Nami spoke aloud. Raven backed up a step. "How did you know..?" Raven started. "What you were thinking? Body language. The shuffled slightly and your eye movements as well. Clearly you thought I wasn't human. I'm a master at reading people's body language and picking up on certain characteristics in a given area such as this room." Nami explained. "That's cool." Jack spoke finally. Nami closed hereyes and smiled a goofy smile at Jack, but Raven didn't trust her. She knew exactly what she had thought. "Body language my ass." Raven thought, directing her thoughts toward Nami. Nami opened her eyes and stared out into space. She turned and looked at Raven. Nami smiled widely and sent some of her own thoughts to Raven. "I see that I can't fool you, Raven. Your mind is sharp and your power of observation may even rival my own." Nami said with her mind. Raven was a little taken aback but quickly recovered. "I'm guessing that charm of yours is pretty powerful on those who haven't study the ancient arts." Raven surmised. "You are correct. And since almost no one has even heard let alone study the ancient arts, it makes it a valuable weapon in my arsenal." Nami answered. |
