Make it anything other than a forest. My suggestions (in no particular order):
A castle,
A beach,
A tundra,
A desert,
A mountain,
A steppe,
A plain,
A cave,
A crater,
A volcano,
A glacier,
A meteorite,
A jungle,
An atoll,
A delta,
An archipelago,
A basin,
A valley,
A fjord (my longtime favorite),
A canyon,
A plateau,
A peninsula,
A lagoon,
A salt flat,
A badland,
Etc, etc etc.
I could continue, but I think you get the point.
