| 16. The warden came to check on me. I gave him back his book and asked for some paper to write a letter. He respectfully denied my request since I haven’t earned any privileges. I suggested I could do some paper work too with the jail booking but he has no need of me. I suggested him to use the inmates to do some wood and rocks cutting in the mines and forest surrounding the jail, in small groups easy to control to generate incomes for the jail expenses. Later in the night a young guard who heard of my skills as a Bard came to ask me for sonnets for his beloved. I wrote a letter for Molly and pretended it to be a draft, then wrote his letter. I made a good job, if the lady is impress he will come back for more. 17. Response from Molly arrived today, today is a good day. 18. The singer started to sing again a new song, so I joined again, we were quiet very fast this time, but it inspired me a poem and I’ll write it down as soon as the young guard returns for another letter. |
