There is a theorem cald Bayesian statistics used to find missing objects like vesels in the sea.

I find it very usefull when mining for ore in the ore farm.

basically it explanin that if you go in spirals around the area were you lost the object you'll find it faster than looking randomly.

it works for me very well. often finding ore every 6 or 7 tries.
