| are horrible investments. There are a few that can be incredibly useful and/or profitable. The alethite and burelia producing serfs can net substantial gold, but they are dependent on being able to sell the ore on the market. If you are looking to invest in your character, those serfs are a good way to collect ore for the OCC, or use the swordsman's Pot Girl to gain strength. Other than that, you're right about the gold making ones, they suck. They are probably left over from a time when sapphires just cost less. |
