personally i like to see a concept like this ;

when you join the game a guide takes you to all the basic concepts of the game and explain it to you.
example ;
you sign up, fill in mail account, gender, confirm the character by mail.
the guide takes you to the different classes and explain the basic skills of that class ;
example ;
you selected the class mage ; a mage is a wisdom based character that .... do you wish to select this class ....

and so on ...
