| With Usko having escaped by the aid of Fintan, the hunt continued. The Westlands region of Helios had no wolves by the time a month had passed. They were hunted down trying to find Usko. Fintan, seeing that now there was a ''known'' reason for the attacks protested the hunting, as did most Arelians. They never again fired a shot. The Northlanders even stopped hunting shortly after the week of Usko's escape. The Westlanders though had pride. An arrogant pride that would not allow them to stop. Despite that the beast had been found, and a known look, all wolves paid the price. Fintan became filled with guilt. As long as the Beast was unknown, there was no need to spare any wolf, but now that it was known, this was murder. The Northlanders and Arelians withdrew. In an attempt to silence the Westland guns, Fintan called upon an Infrean hound. Using a silver bullet he shot it in broad day light infront of the town. They believed the beast was dead. Fintan was held in high regard in Helios. The hound is now staying comfortably in Silver Rose's old hide out, as silver can not kill them but rejuvenate them. A dark chapter in the history of Helios was, presumably, at a close... |
