Subject: The Fog of Illusions Ver. 2
There have been many legends surrounding the world, from gods of power to beasts of elements. Most are true and others are not, yet always hard to separate truth from myth as the stories change over the generations. And another reason for this is that most respect the myths or fear them, no one daring to seek the truth of them.

One such legend is what we will see here, the Legend of the Fog of Illusions. In this myth tells the story of a magic created fog that was called upon to do the bidding of its creator and given a task. To conquer the land. It is patient and relentless, taking prey until its targets are ensnared in its grasp. To trap its victims, the fog creates illusions to confuse and spell bind them, leading them deeper into the fog to keep them trapped.

Some say it takes on a variety of forms to aid its power to trap. Many whisper that the fog is a terrible beast that roams within, giving it the nickname of the beast of the fog. Others say its a beautiful maiden that roams about, giving it the name of Lady of the Mist.

But as it did its task, its creator was killed, and there was no one powerful enough to control it. And without a command from its creator, the Fog went out of control, ensnaring more vicitims and growing in power and size, swallowing territory as it went. No one knew who created it or why it was given the task, but it was clearly dangerous. It was too powerful to destroy, or they never knew how to as the knowledge of that was gone when the creator was killed, so the people had no choice but to call on the aid of powerful mages, wizards and sorcerers.

But even they couldn't destroy it completely, but diminished its power by freeing its victims from their illusions. They used their magic to repel and force the Fog to a prepared cavern, that was covered in magical seals. They knew they couldn't destroy it but they could trap it. Once the Fog was forced into cavern, they sealed it closed; then they placed another magical glyph to ensure that it could not seep through the cracks and escape.

And for years, they kept close eye on the carvern, guarding it so it could never escape and they passed the task on to their successors. But as the years past, the fear of the Fog faded and the knowledge of it and seal was lost as people began to forget. Soon they dismissed it all together, saying it was just a mere story to frighten the children from exploring the woods.

And to this day it was known as just a fairy tale, but perhaps they should have taken it more seriously...
