| The way I see it, there are 2 tiers of subscription. Both can be gotten by shelling out cash, but the higher tier can only be purchased with money. The lower tier can be purchased with in-game currency so as not to unbalance the game. I'll put this in your terms: huh game be unbalance if ULTRA and regular subby r diffrent levls . In English: The game is better when everyone has a fighting chance. Before ultra, it would have made sense to limit regular subscriptions, because not doing so would be passing out the best of the game to everyone, and cutting off revenue. But by having 2 subscriptions that do different things and are both money-only, not only do your customers have to pay more, but people who cannot pay are completely alienated. It basically becomes a "Pay or GTFO" kind of game, right from the very beginning. If regular subscription were deleted, if all its features granted to new players, and if the Ultra subscription would be affordable to the average player once every couple months, then there wouldn't be a problem here. It all boils down to the 2 tiers... how can you not realize that? |
