| After they were all rested, Drago climbed up onto Vanlor’s back and looked over at Solon as the man spoke, “Are demigods immortal?” he asked him. Drago stared directly into the Bluinthian captain’s eyes. ‘No’ was the answer. No, demigods are not immortal. There’re not even half immortal, but he was living proof that there were exceptions. “No. Now we better get moving.” Solon climbed onto the back of his horse, and so did Araman as Drago whispered to Vanlor, “You ready Vanlor? We got a league to travel and fast.” <Ready as I’ll ever be!> Vanlor said, tossing his head. “Good. Then let’s go!” Drago said and then the three of them took off, acquiring a steady trot until they reached the town. On the journey, no one spoke a word to the other; all concentration was on not getting caught and moving forward. |
