the clues were too obvious. It was Johnny Cash & "Hurt"...now Trent Reznor wrote it, but Johnny made this song his own. Look it up, it's a wicked track.
The rest of the 'story' is that he sang it in the four months between his and June Carters death, which I think makes it more poignant.
I suppose you'd have to be into him for that to be of any interest, but it is a rock & roll trivia quiz! lol
