| Lets hope myself along with everyone else here in hawaii remain safe http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/20100227/BREAKING01/302270015/1352 The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a tsunami warning for the state following a strong earthquake Friday evening near the coast of Chile that caused substantial damage and killed at least six people. At 12:46 a.m. Hawaii time today, the warning center said a tsunami has been generated that could cause damage along coastlines of all Hawaii islands. It said urgent action should be taken to protect lives and property. Warning sirens will sound statewide at 6 a.m. They will also sound at different times in each county as the estimated arrival time for the tsunami nears. A tsunami of unknown height is expected to hit the Big Island at 11:19 a.m. The estimated arrival time for Honolulu is 11:25 a.m. |
