| tmat is right. I've read Poe & Lovecraft & other classic writers & they are, pure class, but I've gotta say I love Stephen King. I know a lot of 'literati' think it's pulp fiction, but the guy is a master at painting a picture that you just can't stop looking at. Ok, he's done few I didn't like, but The Dark Tower Series is his homage to Tolkien. It's his LOTR. No, I'm not comparing, can't be done, ever. But it is an epic journey through a world only a master story teller could imagine. Honest, I know you've got good taste in literature, if you think you could stand to, read it.  Look at The Green Mile, Shawshank, book & film. Stand By Me, same. No horror. Go on, you know you want to.  This post has well stood the test of time, kudos LI. |
