| Arianna couldn't fathom the idea of regenerating a missing limb. I can't do that... How could anyone do that? Again, her heart was trying to break free of her chest. It probably wanted to escape this task as much as she did. She took a deep breath but her heart kept pounding faster inside her chest. Finally, she decided that she could try or she could give up. Arianna placed her hand over the phantom limb, trying to imagine it complete. In her mind she could see the bones, muscles, tendons, blood. However, for some reason, instead of a leg forming all that appeared was a pool of blood surrounding the rabbit's phantom limb. Frightened, Arianna withdrew her hand with a gasp. She couldn't take her eyes off the blood spilling out of the rabbit's phantom limb. |
