| Arianna sighs and tells Ry to catch up with Saint. "I'll take care of this... wait for me over there." She pointed to an area that appeared to be a safe waiting place. Then she walked calmly over to the baker and asked how much her companion owed. He yelled an exaggerated price for baked goods at her, but Arianna paid him a little over that and said, "For your trouble, Sir." The man's face softened into a smile and before he walked back into his store he said, "What is such a sweet young lady doing hanging around that riff-raff?" Arianna glanced over her shoulder at the guys, then walked over to them and said, "You know, not everything has to be stolen. Besides, I packed some bread and fruit this morning. I guess I was the only one who thought we shouldn't draw attention to ourselves by stealing." Having said this, she realized that the two thieves probably thought she was foolish to pay for something that could have been stolen. |
