Ry stopped. He realized he had left Arianna hanging. "I'm sorry. It's really important that I get my book." He explained further. "Aly won't do anything hasty like attack Saint right away. She is clever, not stupid. She'll probably send one of her leeches to spy on him first. Maybe Dold or, if she's serious about Saint, Vaugn... Then find any vulnerable points." He thought this over. "And besides, I have to protect Saint. I'm bound to it. I'll explain it later. We will have time. First, I have to get my book. It'll be clear to you when you see." |
