| There was nothing Arianna would have liked more than to find a way out of this conversation. She truly regretted telling Saint that she was a Graywind, but it was much too late to take it back. She figured she might as well tell him the truth, even though she had never intended to tell anyone. Arianna stared intensely into Saint's eyes as she spoke. "I ran away from Graywind Castle. The townspeople viewed me as a witch because I have a natural gift for healing. When they threatened to burn me... my family, for the most part, did nothing. Most of them were upset with my parents and therefore did not feel that they should protect me in the least. My mother and father were in danger, so I left." |
