| It isnt like we are removing 1 cent.... the pennies are still counted for things like checks, debit, or credit cards. It is just there is no more physical penny for when you pay cash... If you pay cash, then thing get rounded, down for 1 and 2 cents, or up for 3 and 4 cents. In theory they should cancel out... in practice, I doubt it lol. Personally I think it is a load of bull crap, of course copper is worth more then a penny when the economy is in the crapper and the dollar is down lol. They should have just switched to making them out of something cheaper like tin or something. |
