Also, remember that MU and MC didn't pass group stage. Boas did have a good idea, but his mistake was that he thought he's Mourinho, that is to say, that he has his charisma. So he, though younger than Chelsea's legends decided to throw them away like old rags and that was his demise. Also he thought younger players will support him, but he forgot that older player are mentors of youngsters. Di Mateo gave chances to young players such as Bertrand (played in the finals) and Oriol Romeu (Lukaku in the last match), but they have to work in order to be first-team players. I think next year Chelsea will work more with currently reserve squad because it has great potential. |
