Subject: activity | |||||
At the end of the like day like so many other things...activity begets activity. No matter how satisfying this game is to play the biggest thing that will drive newcomers away is a lack of other active players to interact with. How many times is the local chat actually devoid of players revive upon revive? The biggest and quite frankly only way to increase activity and draw new blood to the game is to have a major advertising campaign. Advertise through social media and as many online RPG sites as possible and newcomers will increase. Even if we lose 9 out of every 10 newcomers our numbers will grow over time - and activity with it. Advertising is key! I will give you an example relating to myself and DW. I stumbled upon this game by finding only 1 review on a text based MMO review site. 1 only... How many related sites are there out there that DW banners could be displayed? I know that advertising is not cheap - but I believe that other games get around some of the cost by adding 'vote' links that are compulsory or by advertising other games / sites. I know what everyones reaction to that will be but in the interest of DWs future perhaps all avenues should be reviewed. |
