| the original versions of the fairy tales (Andersen for example) and not the 'disney' ones, it's even worse... Little mermaid dies at the end of the original story and becomes foam on the crest of waves -her prince just forgets about her. The little girl with the matches dies in the snow, out of cold... The stepsisters of Cinderella amputate their heels/feet with a knife to be able to enter the shoe... Fairy tales are not as smooth as presented today. Kids seemed to be perfectly fine with those versions all this time, though. |
