| Ok, things you named are all interesting, but just the part of the story and lets face it, without villains or some sort of tragedy what kind of cartoon would you have?! You'd have bloody Teletubbies or some other all happy story. I mean kids or audience needs to see that good triumph over evil, though if you put it trough analysis you'll get what Eddie said.
