| (some, like this one, will be very short.) The two had to stop frequently as they ran from the Jager to allow Michael to rest. He had lost a lot of blood and do to their frequent stops, the demon was catching up to them. Zos paced and Michael leaned his butt against a tree and put his hands on his knees, catching his breath. “We’re not going to make it like this…” Zosimos muttered over and over to himself as he paced. Michael looked up at him as he gathered his breath. He could pick out the sound of large footsteps way out in the distance, the Jager was crashing through the forest towards them and gaining on them. |
