I saw GSK on the website and was a bit sceptic at first too. But it gives a basic pack of information on skin cancers (that's always good to spread) and it gives the opportunity to consult someone to check your skin, for free, during a few days in May. Not on the internet, but a real appointment: that's to me the most interesting. If you fear the advice given will be biaised, it's easy to ask a second opinion from someone not included in the program. There is a list of all dermatologists taking part in this, so it's possible to make an appointment with someone else if you fear conflicts of interest, or don't trust the info given. I'm not linked to a pharmaceutical company...I gain nothing from showing this link I just saw how things were organized at the hospital here last year, and I think the info given was helpful: if anything, it draws attention to prevention. |
