in a 'hostile' environment i.e. the desert, an AK-74 (the updated '47, for any philistines) has an edge since it never breaks and the FAL is made by the French, but if you really want to kill someone, the FAL's accuracy (when using the CORRECT bore ammunition, silly NATO), shites all over the AK.
