The sun is hot. Yes. It consists of about 70% hydrogen, 25% helium and a few other gases. These gases burn continuously, releasing tremendous amounts of heat radiation, which travel to Earth and spread light all over the planet. It takes roughly 8 minutes for the light from the sun to reach us, travelling about 1.400 x 1000000000 km. ps/ Yeah, I am a science geek ![]() |
