| First sarcasm, then unfounded personal attacks without any evidence to support such statements at all. The first signs of a weakening argument and that a person is losing the ability to support that argument; they have nothing better to offer the discussion. Yes, they could fish too, and I would assume that they do since that is a fairly obvious statement. And yes my point in simplistic terms is that it is unfair. The actual argument that you have missed was that being able to reset fishing casts leads to unbalanced scores. There is little skill involved with setting up a merchant flag and burning up sapphires or reset tokens, reseting casts over and over. So how is fishing in this way even a competition? Since this is a CPR and not a CFR both sources of points should have an equal footing and offer comparable points so that the most successful clans are the ones that are able to utilize both instead of their gaining points for little work between ven runs or a clan that chooses to only sink others. It is interesting that you claim the bare bones of the argument is that I wish to be a one man army. This is one of the personal attacks I have already mentioned in which you fail to provide any evidence. First off, I do not ven anymore, so the idea that I have any sights set on CBR is clearly off. Secondly, anyone that looks at the CPR scores can see that I am not serriously running this month so the this argument holds very little persuasion for this argument as people can see that I have been holding back to see how clans utilize the current scoring system. It is other clans that have forced me to post about this topic, not my own. And thirdly, this is not meant to be a one man clan or a one man army as many, including yourself have heard me explain my intents with this clan and any way that you look at it, earning medals where I can in order to get things like a clan armory when they are available is a clear requirement to anyone that has been paying attention to the upcoming updates, but this also has little to do with the imbalance between fishing and sinking points available. The fact that last month I took the time to explore all or as many seafare options as I could, and managed to get third place doing so, is pretty unimportant to this discussion. Finally, perhaps you should re-examine the discussion and heed your own advice. Sarcasm does nothing to further a discussion and when someone relies on sarcasm instead of actual argument is seldom taken serriously since as I mentioned it is one of the first signs of a degrading and weakening argument. Why would your use of sarcasm be treated any differntly unless I choose to reply to it, which is what I did? Your second personal attack, much like the first does little to further the discussion. |
