I'm not saying that players in general--or even I--had the whole thing down in a week, but I had everything I really needed to get by on my own well before then. And I've got a tough time believing that a new player's inability to get at least that much is down more to the complexity of the game than apathy on the part of the player.

Basically if running out of your 1 week of beginner protection, seriously cramps your style, you're probably using the wrong style.
