he's going to learn from this? That if he whines in the forum, he'll get something for nothing.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice thought dude, BUT, I'm just thinking of what he'll take away from this experience mentally - if you'd done nothing, I think he would have learnt his lesson better. But that's just imho.
